What would be useful in Sick Scraper

Let me start by cheering this initiative. I always thought this is what Sick was missing. I'm sure now that Sick Submitter will overtake the market of auto backlink building software.

My advice is to add in Sick Scraper the option to load a list of links in URL's window so we can compare more link lists an remove duplicate domains.

Hi DonSEO,

The scraper already does, a button at the bottom of the program 'Import URLs' does this function. I've used it several times today already.

I think a great function for the program would to be automatically determine the site type upon scrape (SMF, phpld, phpdugg etc). I've scraped alot of sites today using a footprint for one type of site, yet I got others also included for whatever reason. It the software could input the site type and let you sort by this upon export, would get rid of the need for the platform reader, and then you can create your packets knowing the sites are correct, directly in the scraper tool.

Just an idea, although the tool is good.

almost everyone here has scrapebox. sick scraper is a trial to make a copy of SB which (don´t get me wrong) is fully OK but I see no benefits in having two pieces of software that are 90% the same. Sweetfunny is a machine I can´t even count to the number of SB updates it underwent since I have it. I know that with scrapeboard he started to compete with sick but I wouldn´t declare the war this way. Instead I would rather start from the point where SB ends. Many of the guys here are non-US (FR, IT, DE, RU, JP, CN,...). SB (and sick scraper now) only works with footprints but you can´t really use the search engines with JUST footprints. E.G. it is impossible to find these sites with scrapebox (or maybe i just can´t use it). And I would definitely add exalead and blekko - that could make it substantially different from scrapebox and attract some new users...

This is a great addition to sick considering that not all the imers there have scrapebox in their arsenal.

Also vilo , you can add more google's in scrapebox(even the language) , there is a dropdown near the google checkbox.

I think this you were reffering to right?
In this example is searching in google.dz in french language.

We respect your opinion Vilo and don't really want to get in a debate about it. We agree that Scrapebox does an excellent job however we do not see the need to make our users purchase or rely on a separate program.

While it may be inexpensive to you or people in your country, for a large portion of our user base it is a prohibitive expense which also lowers their satisfaction of the Submitter product.

We were provided the resources to be able to give our users a free basic scraper and felt it would be a disservice to our user base to not take advantage of that resource.

Yeah you have it , look in the picture , there is a kind of triangle(button near google), after you click it ,it will show a dropdown list, just click on add more google and add your country and language.

no offense, guys, just my point of view being a salesperson. a basic scraper is ok. now snakesasa has shown me that it maybe goes much far using the filters which is brilliant and i really miss this with sb!

the "other" SEs like exalead and blekko should not be a real problem for you but they would make the sick scraper sigificantly other and provide a marketing advantage for your product which i like.

i must be blind or what... i downloaded it just right now (ok, an hour ago)
