Anyone Had Trouble With Email Checking When Testing Own Packets?

I am having a really frustrating issue that I dont seem to be able to get sorted.

I have built a few own SMF packets and now testing them by registering/checking mail and posting.

Sometimes when I register and check mail on say 100 new sites, it will register fine as usual, then when checking mail will either freeze right away saying connecting next to an email or get past a few emails and freeze on one.?

Its like a mine field with those emails and it just gets stuck and fails to keep going and the software freezes up and opens up curl.exe and i think cmd.exe processes that I see in my task manager when trying to diagnose the problem and there are dozens of those same processes.

I have tried both yahoo and hotmail accounts, this does not seem to be the problem as they are both having same issue in my sick submitter.

My SMF packets email checking is terribly slow. It seems to take forever to go through and delete the emails (this is where people I believe are thinking that the program is hanging up, when in fact its going through the deletion process).

Its not only SMF packets now, it is also MYbb that I bought as well and sometimes when it starts it just hangs on first email saying "connecting" or sometimes it gets down the list abit and hangs again.

I need to get it sorted as I am registering to the forums but cant confirm and post s oI am wasting captchas.

UPDATE.

I had Cafi port in and check it out and we have come to the conclusion that it is is a submitter bug.

A way around it is to run more threads when checking mail, so when a few threads hang up there are others to finish off the job

I was running 2-4 threads initially and usually they would both hang up and it would freeze.

Run over 15 threads when checking mail and it looks like that has worked for me so far.

Just to note we generally do not support any VPS installations (like naughtyaffiliate is running) we just wanted to see if it was an overall bug or an individual user situation.


It seems like this bug should only show in Server 2003 installations

Ok,

I have being playing with it some more and determined that,

the dozens of curl.exe and cmd.exe processes were created and not ended during the registration process, not the check mail process.

However, because of these numbers of processes created and not closed during the registration it affected the check mail function directly.

It makes me wonder if these processes also making some threads time out and fail also, if this issue is resolved I think the success ratio will become better and of course the mail check will not fail unless you kill all those unfinished processes.
