How to use Custom Loops:

Look on the Bottom left of Submitter tab
Find Custom Loop
Click Custom Loop
Will Open Custom Loop box
Enter what you would like Submitter to loop through in “if output contains”
Enter how many times you want Submitter to keep trying
Click Enable

How to turn off Custom Loops:

Look on the Bottom left of Submitter tab
Find Custom Loop
Click Custom Loop

API Notes:

Auto upload to api turned off by default — We had this turned on by default in previous versions but we under estimated the amount of links being sent to the API at any one time. Since the majority of Sick users do not use the API it is no longer set to default on.

Sick API

The Sick API will allow third party script developers to have access to the links you have created with Sick (there are none yet so get to building)

In Submitter:
New Sick API is integrated into Submitter.
This function can be turned on and off in Global settings > Miscellaneous (is ON by default)

Web Access:
The Web part of the API can be accessed by users at Login – Sick API your login and password are your Submitter login and password.

Developers can go to Documentation General API Parameter and Documentation List of available API’s to start creating.

API Groups
API Groups can be found on the bottom right of the Registration Info tab. Submitter sends the group along with the urls to the API.

Custom Check

Custom Check is in response to this post – option to select all based on output?

You would press Custom Check on Bottom and Enter in the pop up the output you want selected in the stringed Packets.

For Example if you wanted all Fail – Captcha Error you would enter that in the output box and press Execute

Using Advanced Links in Blog Comments

• Click “Use Advanced Links for Comment Name Field”
• This will Grey out the Names Field
• Enter your advanced links as normal
• The URL will be entered into the URL Field the Keyword will be entered into the name field

New use of Advanced Links
You can now enter Advanced Links at any place you want in the Comment field by using the Short Code #advancedlink#

Example:
{Very nice blog|Great site} I will put my link here #advancedlink#

The Advanced link in the Comment Field will be the same as the one used for the Name and URL.

If you would like the Submitter to automatically uncheck sites that failed during registration before continuing to the Submit Step go to Global Settings –> Miscellaneous and check the “Uncheck failed after registation” Check box

Download mail now has 2 methods that can be chose in global settings:

The default method downloads email one by one and is better at avoiding server timeouts from some mail clients. If you have smaller lists or are confident that your mail client will not time out you can go into Global Settings –> Miscellaneous and select “Download all mails in one download” to have the Mail all downloaded at once which is quicker but can cause some issues with bigger mail lists.

Download “all mail” by default:
Download “all mail” is now the default option for the mail. You can adjust this to download the mail 1 by 1 (Slower) by changing the option in Global settings –> Miscelanous

Proxy Manager removed from Menu Bar:
The Proxies Tab in the Account Creation tab is more up to date and easier to use then the Proxy Manager so we have removed the Proxy Manager from the Menu Bar. If you are a Proxy Manager user you can still find it by clicking Options in the Menu Bar and Selecting Open Sick Folder and then running the ProxyManager.exe

We realize that creating an RSS Feed with your profile links helps to get those links indexed by the search engines, and we have now implemented another solution.

RSSHolder.com will now be used to create and host your feeds, in a fully validated XML output.

We have also added some .Sic code tweaks, and improved the hanging thread issues some of you were having.  There is now a time out slider on each submission tab, which should close those hangs when the time out value is reached.

What is Packet Stringing?

Packet stringing is a new feature that will allow you to select multiple packets to run, and then individualize each step, depending on where you are in the automation process.

How does it work?

Load your profile just like you would for a normal packet run, move to the profile submitter tab, and click the open button just like you were loading a packet. Instead of just clicking one, hold the ctrl or shift key down, and select multiple packets, how many you ask? That’s easy, as many as you want!!!!

Now your packet selection dropdown box shows your first packet, select the steps you want Sick to automate (Register, Email Activation, Link Submission, Ping) once done, hit the drop down and select the next site packet in your list. Continue as before to select the steps, and repeat until steps are selected for each packet in your list. When done click start and walk away.

Quick Directions:

• Click the Site List Folder Icon in Submitter

• Select Multiple Packets from the Open Site List Window (using Shift or Ctrl)

• In the Submitter you will now have all Lists in a Drop Down

• Go through each and select the Individual steps you want to use or

• Note: If using the same steps in all packets select the steps in the first packet, right click steps select “Check this in all files”

• Press Start

We hope this helps to automate some of your day to day tasks, and gives you a little more free time, but to make life even easier we are working on a scheduler feature we hope to release later this month so stay tuned for details.
